Gung Hay Fat Choy!!!

February 7th marks the beginning Chinese New Year. It starts with the new moon on the first day and ends on the full moon 15 days later. Each day has it’s significance and special celebrations.

As told by the Chinese zodiac, the rat is the first in the cycle of 12. Characterized as charming, passionate, charismatic, practical and hardworking, they are endowed with great leadership skills and to be the most highly organized, meticulous, and systematic of the twelve signs. They are energetic, versatile, and capable of finding their way around obstacles, and adapting to various environments easily. They are always busily pursuing a personal goal or ambition, and thus known as one of the hardest-working signs in the zodiac. Those born in rat years tend to be leaders, pioneers, and conquerors. They are charming, passionate, charismatic, practical and hardworking. Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Affleck, Samuel L. Jackson, William Shakespeare and Mozart were all born in the year of the rat.

Just what we need 2 little rats! My new favorite animal…

I can’t wait…
